The Dynamics of Policy Implementation
in Nigeria

Navigate the crucial gap between policy design and real-world impact.

In The Dynamics of Policy Implementation in Nigeria, author Professor Mohammad Ahmad Wali offers an unprecedented insider's analysis of how public policy translates into action, focusing on Sokoto State from 1976 to 1991.

Drawing on decades of experience in academia and high-level public service, Professor Wali thoroughly dissects the reasons for both policy success and failure. He investigates the failed "Operation Move Ahead" education policy and utilizes charts and diagrams to pinpoint the four critical obstacles that plague bureaucratic efforts: governmental instability, system overload, socioeconomic problems, and infrastructural inadequacies.

This book is essential reading for policymakers, students of governance, and anyone seeking a clear, analytical understanding of how to overcome policy implementation challenges in developing nations.
